Every January, the City of Sydney is enthralled, brought together, and ignited by the Sydney Festival, which offers daring and unforgettable experiences. What better way to start 2025 than with a festival that brings people together and revitalizes Australia’s artistic scene?
The Sydney Festival will take place between Parramatta and Chippendale from 4 to 26 January 2025. The Sydney Festival 2025 boasts a vast lineup of diverse local artists and well-known international names this summer, with over 130 shows and events, including 22 World Premieres, 24 Australian exclusives, 43 locations, and over 50 free events, including more than 12 nights of free live music.

Vigil: Gunyah at Barangaroo, led by First Nations peoples, culminates on 25th January with Vigil: Truth, highlighting visions for the future. Enjoy curated talks by ABC Radio National broadcaster Rudi Bremer, a soundscape by Brendon Boney, and workshops.
The Thirsty Mile is a lively festival by the water, offering seven theatres, exhibition spaces, and a summer bar with 12 nights of free live music at the Moonshine Bar.
